I hand craft each stylish titanium post-style Flower Blossom earrings using carefully selected *vintage* tiny white baby cup shells for the 'petals' and your choice of glossy Pearl, Swarovski crystal or carefully matched pair of tiny seashells for the centres.

ABOUT THE SHELLS: There is an incredible amount of sorting that I need to do for each pair of these post earrings...matching up enough shells to make flowers that look alike enough to be considered a "Pair". The shells I use for my Mermaids Baubles post earrings are from a collector, estimated to be from the 1920's. Due to the unfortunate decline of our ocean's health, the same shell is almost nonexistent now and if found, are much more brittle and off-white compared to their vintage counterpart. Once my precious stash of these vintage Lucine cup shells is gone, that will be it and I won't be making any new post earrings.

ABOUT THE POSTS: The posts are nickel-free Titanium with silver plated surgical steel 10mm base. I also include allergy-friendly Titanium backs!

Choose from all White 'petals' <or> White outer 'petals' and pink inner 'petals' made from rare naturally pink Apple Blossom seashells.

Seashell collages featuring hearts and flowers are also known as Sailor’s Valentines. The origins of the Sailor’s Valentine date back to the 1800’s, when the majority were crafted by natives of Barbados. Sailors, most of them from here in New England, made them or bought them as a token of their affection for their loved ones back home
